Nеwbоrn Gingеr Kittеn Аbаndоnеd Оn Тhе Sidеwаlk Gеts А Sесоnd Сhаnсе Аt Lifе
Sadly, cat moms sometimes аbаndоn their newborn kittens for various reasons. Sometimes they know the kitten won’t make it, however sometimes as first-time moms, they can feel overwhelmed.
Today’s story begins with such circumstances. A man found a tiny newborn kitten, left on the sidewalk to await its final moments.
This kind-hearted man was determined to help. He immediately brought the kitten home ready to become a full-time foster dad.
Now, I’ve tackled fostering before, and let me tell you – newborn kittens need special care. Luckily, this caring man was more than ready for this task! As he said in his video:
“Taking care of such a small kitten requires a lot of patience.”
He started feeding and warming up the little one. He would place the kitten softly in his hand so he could nurse peacefully.
He even set up a reminder every two hours – just so he could bottle-feed his foster baby. Such determination!
The first two weeks were only about bottle feeding and helping the little one go potty. Since newborn kittens can’t pee and poop by themselves and usually, mama cat is there to help.
However, according to PetMD, when foster parents care for newborn kittens they need to stimulate the little ones so they don’t end up constipated. That’s exactly what his foster dad did!
The man was eager to see the little ginger fuzzball finally open his eyes. In the meantime, he made sure to provide him with all the cuddles in the world, and the kitten’s favorite nap spot was his dad’s hand!
After almost a week the ginger furball finally opened his eyes, making his foster dad super happy! He even started purring in his sleep. How adorable, right?
Following these small but significant milestones, the kitten gradually became more active. He learned how to walk, however he quickly got tired and still needed his dad’s hand to nap!
After a month spent together, the man went from foster dad to forever dad – the little fuzzball was there to stay.
